SCOPE OF OPERATIONS
Blue Circle Southern Cement is a leading Australian producer of cement with manufacturing operations in the most populated eastern states.
At Berrima, in the Southern Highlands of NSW, Blue Circle Southern Cement operates a 1.4m tonnes per annum dry process kiln and a 400,000 tonnes per annum wet process kiln to produce grey Portland cement. At nearby Maldon, the company has a 250,000 tonnes per annum off-white cement kiln and a world class facility for the manufacture of packaged cements and dry mix products. Kooragang, near Newcastle , is a major distribution centre for the NSW north coast and has facilities for the manufacture of a variety of specialty products.
In Victoria, Blue Circle Southern Cement's major manufacturing centre is at Waurn Ponds, near Geelong, where we operate a 700,000 tonnes per annum dry process kiln. This is supported by a packaging plant at Dandenong and a blending and distribution centre at Somerton in Melbourne.
There are about 120 trucks bearing the Blue Circle Southern Cement logo distributing our products, supported by an extensive depot network.
